Strategy and Entrepreneurship Positions at Ole Miss

The Management Department of the School of Business Administration at The University of Mississippi invites applications for two faculty positions in Strategic Management and/or Entrepreneurship. This position is tenure track at the assistant/associate professor rank.

We have a vibrant and active research group that has published over the last two years in  Academy of Management Journal, IEEE Transactions, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Management and the Strategic Management Journal.

Duties: To teach undergraduate, MBA, and doctoral level courses in management; and to perform duties assigned by the Dean of the School of Business Administration and Chair of the Department of Management. Applicants with a specialization in either strategy or entrepreneurship will be considered. The normal teaching load for this position for a research-active faculty member is 2/2 course load (6 credit hours per each semester, Fall and Spring) at the undergraduate, MBA, and/or PhD level. There is the option to teach summer courses for additional pay subject to course and funding availability.

Required Qualifications: Applicants for the rank of assistant professor must currently hold a Ph.D. in management or entrepreneurship (or must complete all degree requirements by August 2016). Applicants for this rank must demonstrate compelling research potential and be able to present evidence of teaching effectiveness in Strategic Management and/or Entrepreneurship.  All successful candidates are expected to possess excellent oral and written communication skills.  No candidate will be considered who does not meet the departmental AACSB standards for Scholarly Academics (SA).

Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Position in Management – HEC Paris

The Department of Management and Human Resources at HEC Paris invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position, in the areas of Organizational Behavior, Organization Theory, or Human Resource Management, for appointment in September 2016.

Candidacy Requirements

Applicants should have completed a Management Ph.D. or be in the final phase of their dissertation work. They should have at least one top-tier publication and an active pipeline in top-tier management journals, as relevant to HEC Paris’ journal list. Applicants will be evaluated on their performance and potential to publish in top-tier research journals.

Applicants are also expected to demonstrate skills and interest in teaching in various programs (Master of Management, MBA, and Ph.D.). The language of instruction at HEC is English or French.

We are searching for applicants who are committed to excellence in research as evidenced by high-impact publications in top journals. A doctorate will be required at the starting date. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an independent and competitive research program in a multidisciplinary environment and engage with researchers in related fields across the EPFL campus.
