Dr.George S. Spais is and independent consultant and researcher and he has held adjunct faculty posts at London Metropolitan University, UK (Athens Campus), Kentucky University, USA (Athens Campus), New Haven University, USA (Athens Campus), Athens University of Economics and Business (Greece), Agricultural University of Athens (Greece), Hellenic Open University and other Greek universities and Technological Educational Institutes. His research works have appeared in international, refereed and indexed: a) journals, b) conference’s proceedings and c) book chapters. His research interests are focused on promotion management and marketing education. He is highly interested in the following research topics: i. influence of learning theories in promotion management, ii. bargaining solution analyses for cooperative promotion campaigns; iii. effectiveness and efficiency measurement of sport sponsorship programs; and iv. educational techniques and objectives in marketing education (with emphasis in TLT and critical reflection).
Dr. Spais has been named an Associate Research Fellow at Euromed Research Business Institute (EMRBI) and he has been appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of the Clute Institute for Academic Research (Colorado, USA). He serves as a marketing co-editor of the Journal of Applied Business Research and as a member on the editorial boards of (in alphabetical order) Asian Journal of Marketing, Innovative Marketing, International Journal of Integrated Marketing Communications, International Review of Management, Journal of Business Case Studies, Journal of Marketing Education and Journal of Promotion Management. He is acting as an ad hoc reviewer for several international academic journals of marketing and academic conferences. He works as a trainer and educator for major significant agencies, associations and unions [such as the Greek National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government and the Social Multicenter of ADEDY (Supreme Administration of the Greek Civil Servants Trade Unions)].
