Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Free Enterprise

Oklahoma State University is actively seeking highly qualified candidates for a tenured/tenure track position at the assistant, associate, or full professor level.  OSU is a comprehensive land-grant institution that is internationally recognized for its instruction, research, and outreach programs.  System-wide enrollment exceeds 37,000 students, with nearly 26,000 enrolled at the OSU-Stillwater campus. The academic department will be dependent on the education and professional experiences of the successful applicant.  The successful applicant will also be appointed as a Fellow of the Institute for the Study of Free Enterprise.  The Institute is a university-wide, multi-disciplinary institute, under the auspices of the Provost & Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs, that serves as the focus for OSU teaching and research on principled entrepreneurship, regulation, markets, public policy and the role of business in a free society.

Teaching and research will primarily be related to the study of free enterprise.  Teaching and mentoring of undergraduates is a major role of the position.  In addition, the position will regularly participate in the Institute’s activities, such as public lectures, research colloquiums, Visiting Fellows programs, PhD Student Fellowship programs, etc.  The anticipated start date is August 2015.

Qualifications:  Candidates must possess or will soon possess a doctorate degree in a discipline relevant to free enterprise, a record of scholarly productivity commensurate with the candidate’s level of experience, and potential for excellence in teaching.

The College of Business at New Mexico State University is seeking applicants for the following two full-time faculty positions:

1 – Assistant or Associate Professor of OB/HR

1 – Open Rank in any discipline within our management department (OB, HR, strategy, entrepreneurship, or operations management)

Experience: Applicants must have an earned doctorate in management or a closely related discipline from an AACSB International accredited business school. Candidates should have a record of scholarly research publication commensurate with their levels of academic experience. Applicants should also have a demonstrated record of success in classroom teaching, with instruction at both the undergraduate and graduate levels preferred.

Responsibilities: The positions require continued scholarly activity, including research publications in academic journals in the field of management. Faculty members will actively participate in graduate education by supervising dissertation research and serving on graduate committees. Courses to be taught will be based on the experience of the candidate and the needs of the Management Department, and may include some online instruction.

ESSEC Business School (Paris) – Professors in Management Accounting and Control, or Auditing and Financial Accounting

The ESSEC Accounting and Management Control Department invites applications for positions at the Associate or Assistant level in Management Accounting and Control, or Auditing and Financial Accounting, for September 2015.

Assistant Professor Position

The Department of Policy Analysis and Public Management at Bocconi University, Milan (Italy) opens a position of Assistant Professor in Public Administration, Public Management, Public Administration and Management, Public Policy and Management, Policy Analysis and Management (Italian classification of scientific field: 13/B1 – Economiaaziendale), starting from March 1st, 2015.

Contracts will run for up to three years, with the possibility of an extension period of 2years and then subject to renewal for three years (“tenure track”: 3+2+3).

Applicants must be fluent in English. Other languages knowledge is welcome. Knowledge of  Italian is not required.

Commitments include research,teaching and service to the University. As the appointed candidate is expected to publish in international refereed journals, priority will be given to applicants with research portfolios that are international in scope.

Post Doc position in science-based entrepreneurship

Bodø Graduate School of Business at University of Nordland, Norway is seeking applicants for an upcoming Post Doc position in Entrepreneurship. We expect the selected individual to join the faculty early 2015, or sooner if possible.

Bodø Graduate School of Business harbors one of the Europe’s largest research groups in entrepreneurship and innovation comprising over 20 faculty members and 15 PhD students and Bodø has become a gathering place for entrepreneurship scholars, including the 2012 RENT conference, the 2014 Nordic Conference on Small Businesses, and the 2016 Babson (BCERC) and Diana Conferences. Faculty members include Lars Kolvereid, Gry Alsos, Tommy Clausen, Einar Rasmussen, Espen Isaksen, as well as Adjunct Professors such as Johan Wiklund, Paul Westhead, Candida Brush, Andrew Zacharakis, and Sara Carter.

The Post Doc position is concerned with building a unique large scale database covering all science-based new ventures in Norway. The data collection in under way and the candidate will be part of a research team led by Associate Professor Einar Rasmussen. The research is carried out in collaboration with several leading scholars on science-based entrepreneurship worldwide. The candidate is expected to contribute to the structuring and analysis of the database and to publishing the results in the leading scholarly journals in the field.

Applicants should have a PhD in Business, Management, or equivalent and a strong background in working with large complex databases and carrying out sophisticated multivariate analyses. The position is particularly well suited for a candidate with interest in the following topics: science-based or high technology entrepreneurship, university technology transfer, process studies of new ventures, multi-level and longitudinal datasets. The position is ideal for a person that wants to develop a strong network and publication track record in these areas.

3 post-doctoral fellowships in Economics / Finance / Management

CEGE (Research Centre in Management and Economics), the research centre of the School of Economics and Management, Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Porto, Portugal), invites applications for up to three post doctoral research fellowships, starting in September 2014, for a 12 month period (renewable yearly up to 3 years), within the framework of the strategic project Pest-OE/EGE/UI0731/2014, funded by FCT/MEC through national funds (PIDDAC). Candidates must hold a PhD in the fields of Economics, Finance or Management and preference will be given to candidates whose research interests are coincident or complementary to the research developed at CEGE and who already have a track record of publications in peer-­reviewed journals. CEGE’s mission is to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in economics and management, promoting a culture of excellence in research and disseminating its research results to the scientific community and society in general. Therefore, we expect the post­ doctoral fellow to develop research consistent with this mission, ummarized in a 2­-pages work plan. This work plan should identify research areas/themes of interest to the applicant, an outline of the research ideas to be developed, a description of their innovative contribution, the research methods/methodologies which will be used and the expected impact of results.
