Ural Federal University Bachelor program has been accredited by EPAS

In June 2015 during the Annual Conference of EFMD (European Fund for Management Development) Accreditation Council confirmed that the bachelor program “International Economics and Business” implemented by UrFU Graduate School of Economics and Management since 1996 is to be accredited by EFMD.

The program had been accredited for a period of three years according to strict standards of EPAS (European Programme Accreditation System). Such accreditation confirms the highest academic level of the program, its relevance from the point of view of employers, labor market and society in general, and also its compliance with the international standards of management training.

High accreditation assessment given by the commission of EFMD, which worked in UrFU in February of the current year, is a result of long harmonious work of the university staff.

The diploma of the graduate of the program, which was accredited by EPAS, is more attractive for the international companies-employers, it also expands possibilities of students in tearms of further education in foreign universities.

Till today only a narrow circle of Russian institutions of higher education in the sphere of economics (Moscow and Saint Petersburg) could be proud of accreditation of EPAS. Thus Ural Federal University joined the 4 leading higher education institutions of the country in the field of management training which meets the requirements of EFMD, and became the only university, which is located not in the capital and has EFMD accreditation.

Universities accredited by the EFMD have wider opportunities for establishing partnership with leading universities of the world, because the recognition of EFMD became a real “quality mark”.
